The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chan looking to score a takedown here. Dragon X is defending well but Chan drives through and ends up in Dragon X's guard.
Chan wants to control from the top but Dragon X keeps moving.

Chan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dragon X is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chan, into his guard.

Dragon X drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chan!

Chan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dragon X keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dragon X, who protects the arm well.
Dragon X is looking to regain half guard here but Chan keeps moving and retains side control.

Chan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Chan is looking to take a break and control but Dragon X is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dragon X is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Chan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Dragon X keeping moving, preventing Chan from controlling successfully.

Dragon X drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Dragon X as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Chan screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Dragon X! Nice submission victory there!
