Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caleb Padilla (ranked 24305 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Groudy (ranked 3338 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Groudy clinches up against the cage.
Groudy doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Groudy tries to land knees in the clinch but Padilla avoids the damage to the body.
Groudy is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Groudy scores with a shot to the side of Padilla's head.
Groudy tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Padilla's elbow.
Padilla is trying to force a seperation but Groudy has the dominant position.
Groudy tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Padilla has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Groudy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Padilla tries to pull guard but Groudy won't allow it.

Padilla gets control of Groudy's arms and successfully pulls guard. Padilla will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Padilla is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Groudy wants to stand but Padilla is controlling the position.
Padilla slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Groudy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Padilla is controlling him.

Padilla has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Padilla seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Padilla.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Groudy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Padilla tries to pull guard but Groudy forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Groudy pushes Padilla against the cage. Groudy is working some dirty boxing. Groudy pushes off with a quick right hook! Padilla goes down! Padilla tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Groudy moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
