Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daryl Henderson (ranked 23736 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Jindrak (ranked 6751 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Jindrak will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daryl Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Jindrak!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jindrak misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Henderson to counter with a crisp jab.
Jindrak looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Henderson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jindrak to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jindrak stands up from Henderson's guard - Jindrak perhaps looking for a knockout.

Henderson closes the distance and clinches.
Henderson is leaning against Jindrak and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Henderson missing with knees to the body.
Henderson tries to land knees in the clinch but Jindrak avoids the damage to the body.
Henderson really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jindrak is trying to break the clinch but Henderson has him pressed against the cage.

Henderson wants the takedown. Jindrak is fighting it off but Henderson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jindrak's guard against the cage.
Henderson is standing up over Jindrak. Jindrak looks to escape but Henderson dives into side control.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Henderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jindrak knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Henderson lands a nice forearm strike.
Henderson throws a strike aimed at the side of Jindrak's head but Jindrak avoids it well.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
An elbow from Henderson crashes against the mat.
Henderson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jindrak's shoulder. That is not cool.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Henderson in side control, throwing shots but Jindrak defends.

Jindrak is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Henderson is controlling him well.

Henderson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jindrak to his feet.

Henderson closes the distance and clinches.

Henderson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jindrak clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Henderson is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Henderson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Henderson really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Henderson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jindrak defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Henderson's arms.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Henderson cracks Jindrak with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Jindrak from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Henderson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jindrak prevents the takedown attempt.
Henderson lands a nice knee to the body.

Henderson drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Henderson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Henderson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Henderson misses with a knee to the head.
Henderson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jindrak smiles and moves away.

Henderson wriggles free and stands up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jindrak is breathing heavily.

Henderson instigates a clinch.

Henderson has picked Jindrak up - he's going for a ride! Henderson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Jindrak has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Henderson decides to stand and escape the position.

Henderson darts in and clinches Jindrak up against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Jindrak as the two fighters clinch.
Jindrak is trying to force a seperation but Henderson has the dominant position.
Henderson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jindrak gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jindrak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Henderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jindrak, pushing him back against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Henderson.

Henderson wants the takedown. Jindrak is fighting it off but Henderson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jindrak's guard against the cage.

Jindrak is working an open guard so Henderson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Henderson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Henderson gets control of Jindrak's arms and successfully pulls guard. Henderson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Henderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jindrak wants to stand and escape but instead Henderson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Henderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Henderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Jindrak has wrist control.
Henderson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Henderson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Henderson clinches with his opponent.
Henderson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jindrak lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Henderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jindrak walks away with a smile on his face. Henderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Henderson rushes Jindrak and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jindrak tries to break the clinch but Henderson is controlling the position.
Henderson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Henderson wants a takedown but no success here.
Henderson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Henderson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Jindrak.
Jindrak wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jindrak looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Henderson has Jindrak pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Henderson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jindrak tumbling to the mat - Henderson dives into Jindrak's guard.
Jindrak is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Henderson dives into side control.
Jindrak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Jindrak is letting Henderson control him for a moment.

Henderson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jindrak for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Henderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jindrak, who protects the arm well.
Mark Jindrak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Daryl Henderson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Henderson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
