Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leland Riggs (ranked 5205 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonh Sinimoy (ranked 3300 p4p, 0 weight class). Sinimoy has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jonh Sinimoy has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Leland Riggs's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonh Sinimoy!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riggs closes the distance and clinches.
Riggs really is a fat lump.
Riggs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sinimoy smiles and moves away.

Riggs has managed to clinch.

Sinimoy tightens his grip and picks Riggs up, before dumping him to the ground. Riggs manages to land in guard.

Riggs manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Sinimoy looks winded!

Riggs pulls Sinimoy into guard.
Riggs trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Riggs is adopting a defensive guard.

Riggs looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sinimoy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Riggs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sinimoy has managed to get both his arms back between Riggs's legs - danger averted.

Riggs is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sinimoy defends well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Riggs moves into the clinch.

Sinimoy has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Riggs clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Sinimoy keeps control of the position as Riggs tries to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Riggs looking very determined here, making life difficult for Sinimoy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sinimoy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Riggs is keeping the position for now.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Riggs seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Riggs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sinimoy sprawls well initially but Riggs persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Riggs in particular looking to stall.
Riggs working over Sinimoy with some ground and pound. Sinimoy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Riggs lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Riggs seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Sinimoy throws a sloppy head kick
and Riggs counters with a series of strikes. Sinimoy will be more careful next time no doubt.

Riggs closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sinimoy quickly recovers to half guard.

Riggs tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Riggs winds up and cracks Sinimoy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Riggs is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sinimoy is just riding it out for now. Riggs eventually gives up the hold.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Riggs wants to stand but Sinimoy has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
