The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lickstoes tries to bum rush Lane with a series of wild strikes but Lane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lickstoes clinches up against the cage.

Lane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lane could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lickstoes misses with a leg kick
and Lane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Lickstoes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lickstoes lands in his opponent's guard.

Lane pushes Lickstoes off and scrambles back to his feet.

Lickstoes gets a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lickstoes prevents Lane from improving his position.
