Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Whitley (ranked 24645 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdi Forehead (ranked 5235 p4p, 0 weight class). Abdi Forehead will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Abdi Forehead!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whitley moves into the clinch.

Forehead looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Whitley!

Whitley explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Forehead decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Whitley makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Whitley clinches up against the cage.

Whitley jumps into guard, dragging Forehead to the mat.
Forehead trying to control but Whitley is working from the bottom.

Whitley throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Forehead escapes and throws Whitley's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Whitley tries to bench press Forehead off him but Forehead keeps the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Forehead goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Whitley has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Forehead but great work by Whitley.

Whitley decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Whitley throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Forehead throws a sloppy head kick and Whitley moves out of range easily.
A little feinted left hand from Whitley on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Whitley moves out of range of the body kick.
Whitley swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Whitley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Whitley manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Forehead manages to get himself to full guard.

Forehead wants to sweep but no luck.
Forehead looks winded!
Whitley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Forehead controls Whitley momentarily but Whitley frees himself.

Whitley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Whitley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Whitley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Forehead has escaped the position, nice work there.
Whitley cracks Forehead with a big elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Forehead is trying to improve his position.
Forehead bucks up and tries to throw Whitley off but instead Whitley has got his back!
Forehead trying to control but not successfully.
Whitley really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Forehead.

Whitley is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Forehead has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Forehead is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Whitley successfully pulls guard.
Forehead looking to sit in guard and control but Whitley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Forehead has an active guard here but Whitley has managed to pass into half guard.

Whitley stands up and beckons Forehead to join him on the feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Forehead shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Whitley's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Forehead throws a strike but Whitley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Whitley forces his way into half guard.
Forehead tries to roll over but Whitley keeps him under control.
Forehead really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Whitley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Forehead is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Whitley has latched onto it... Big trouble! Whitley pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Forehead is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Whitley!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Whitley!
