Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gilberto Da Souza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyong Li!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Souza's waist but Souza gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Li off to one side.
Souza throws a big counter combination but Li scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Souza throws a right and a left that Li avoids nicely.
Souza dives in and grabs Li's left leg, looking for a takedown. Li pushes down on Souza's head and hops out.

Souza moves into the clinch.

Souza drags the fight down to the ground.
Li wants to stand and escape but instead Souza has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Souza stands up over Li, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Souza loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Souza distracts Li with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Li is rocked!
Souza is in close to Li's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Li is still in real trouble! Can Souza finish him?
Li really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Souza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Li has momentary wrist control but Souza slips an elbow through the middle.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Souza loads up on a big left hand. Li felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Souza looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Li can't hide his disappointment, as Souza celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gilberto Da Souza!
