Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Markus Somerkoski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harold Finch!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Finch drops Somerkoski with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Somerkoski looks back up at him and smiles so Finch waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


It looks like Markus Somerkoski has been cut.
Somerkoski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Finch pinned against the cage. Finch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Somerkoski definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Somerkoski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Finch was covering up waiting for the punch and Somerkoski finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Finch is adopting a defensive guard.
Finch wants to sweep but no luck.
Somerkoski stays in close to Finch's body and controls the position.

Somerkoski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Somerkoski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Finch is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Finch is trying to keep Somerkoski in close.
Somerkoski trying to control the position from guard on top but Finch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Finch trying to keep a closed guard but Somerkoski is proving a slippery customer.
Finch wants to stand but Somerkoski is controlling the position.
Somerkoski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Somerkoski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Finch swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Somerkoski slips nicely into half guard.

Somerkoski prevents Finch from improving his position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Finch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Somerkoski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Somerkoski frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Somerkoski is working for a guillotine from mount but Finch frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Somerkoski looking to control but Finch is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Somerkoski wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Somerkoski looking to control and managing it successfully.

Somerkoski trying to control but Finch is having none of it.
Finch wants to hold on but Somerkoski pushes him away.
Finch is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Somerkoski tries to control but Finch wriggling away.

Somerkoski is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Somerkoski!
