PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Gabriel Arges (ranked 23460 p4p, 108 weight class) and Raphael Antunes (ranked 23524 p4p, 212 weight class). Raphael Antunes told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Antunes no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Antunes scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Arges to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.

Antunes cracks Arges with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Arges get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Arges looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
