Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Johnstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Dostoevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnstone comes to the cage accompanied by Hardrock Hallelujah by Lordi. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hank Johnstone!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Dostoevsky!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnstone bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Dostoevsky! He dives into his guard looking to finish!


It looks like Ivan Dostoevsky has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnstone tries to free his leg and advance position but Dostoevsky is retaining full guard.

Dostoevsky looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Johnstone passes into side control.
Dostoevsky is trying to improve his position.
Johnstone is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dostoevsky will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Dostoevsky manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Dostoevsky seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Johnstone trying to control but Dostoevsky postures up.

Dostoevsky thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnstone's head.
Dostoevsky is looking to pass Johnstone's guard but actually Johnstone recovers to full guard.
Dostoevsky wants to control from the top but Johnstone keeps moving.
Dostoevsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnstone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dostoevsky passes Johnstone's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dostoevsky is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Johnstone has managed to free his arm - good work.
Johnstone blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dostoevsky.
Dostoevsky is pressing down on Johnstone's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johnstone is holding on for now.

Dostoevsky is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Dostoevsky looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Johnstone!
Dostoevsky with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Dostoevsky sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnstone holds on for dear life, controlling Dostoevsky's posture momentarily.

Dostoevsky trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Johnstone bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Johnstone wants to control from the top but Dostoevsky keeps moving.

Dostoevsky throws his legs up looking for a submission but Johnstone uses it to pass to side control.
Dostoevsky tries to buck Johnstone off but Johnstone is having none of it.
Johnstone is looking to take a break and control but Dostoevsky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dostoevsky manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Johnstone won't allow Dostoevsky to pass to mount.
Dostoevsky is keen to just control but Johnstone is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Ivan Dostoevsky's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Johnstone throws a right hand that Dostoevsky ducks under and follows up with a left that Dostoevsky also avoids with ease.
Johnstone throws a series of punches but Dostoevsky moves out of range.
Johnstone lands a jab.
Hank Johnstone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice combo by Johnstone! Oh, that's hurt him - Dostoevsky falls to the canvas and Johnstone follows him into side control.


That has opened up Ivan Dostoevsky's cut even more.

Dostoevsky is trying to escape the position but Johnstone is controlling the position.
Johnstone has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dostoevsky tries to bench press Johnstone off him but Johnstone keeps the position.
Dostoevsky is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Johnstone is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Dostoevsky can't escape the position.
Dostoevsky is breathing heavily.
Johnstone manages to capitalize on a mistake by Dostoevsky to take his back!
Johnstone trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Dostoevsky doesn't escape.
Johnstone tries to get the hooks in deep but Dostoevsky pushed the leg off.
Dostoevsky is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Dostoevsky is keeping busy.
Dostoevsky tries to break free.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dostoevsky is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Johnstone has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Johnstone is trying to stick to Dostoevsky's back but Dostoevsky is turning into Johnstone. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Johnstone's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dostoevsky.
Dostoevsky throws a strike but Johnstone rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Dostoevsky looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Johnstone looking to pass the guard.

Dostoevsky wants to sweep here but Johnstone controlling him for the moment.
Johnstone trying to control but Dostoevsky is working from the bottom.
Dostoevsky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Johnstone trying to control the position from guard on top but Dostoevsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dostoevsky takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.


Ivan Dostoevsky's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Dostoevsky shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnstone as he avoids it easily.
Johnstone cracks a nice hook into Dostoevsky's ribs.
Dostoevsky needs to keep his hands up - Johnstone had a free shot at his head there.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ivan Dostoevsky's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hank Johnstone!
