Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Petar Damljanovic (ranked 7626 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Verhoeven (ranked 22852 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Petar Damljanovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alistair Verhoeven!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Damljanovic crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Verhoeven - the referee stops the clock and Damljanovic gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Verhoeven. Damljanovic manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Damljanovic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Damljanovic dives in and grabs Verhoeven's left leg, looking for a takedown. Verhoeven pushes down on Damljanovic's head and hops out.
Verhoeven lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Verhoeven wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Verhoeven throws the kick towards the body but Damljanovic avoids it.
Damljanovic changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Verhoeven comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Verhoeven should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Verhoeven misses the shot to the body.
Damljanovic throws a big counter combination but Verhoeven scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Verhoeven scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Damljanovic is breathing heavily.
Verhoeven misses with a body kick.
Damljanovic tries to counter with a takedown but Verhoeven is quick to defend against it.
Alistair Verhoeven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Verhoeven cracks Damljanovic with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Damljanovic is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Verhoeven feints a jab and as Damljanovic dips his head, Verhoeven unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Damljanovic right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Damljanovic falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Verhoeven smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Alistair Verhoeven!
