PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Jones (ranked 24965 p4p, 565 weight class) and Otis Meeks (ranked 6584 p4p, 540 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Meeks, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones tries to land a knee to the head but Meeks blocks with his arms.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meeks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Let's hope that Meeks has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Jones.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
