Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fjogren Morninglord (ranked 5736 p4p, 575 weight class) and Gabrielius Nieves (ranked 5756 p4p, 578 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nieves moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Nieves avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oooooh!!! Morninglord has knocked Nieves down with a huge combo! Morninglord steps away and waves a wobbly Nieves back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Nieves is rocked!
It looks like Gabrielius Nieves has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nieves tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Morninglord counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nieves showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Morninglord.
Nieves swats away the attempt to clinch by Morninglord.
Nieves throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nieves dodges the punch combination from Morninglord.
Good exchange - Morninglord coming out on top.
Nieves throws a quick inside leg kick.
Morninglord tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nieves swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Nieves pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Morninglord back to the cage. Nieves follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Morninglord fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nieves closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Morninglord to the mat! Morninglord manages to get full guard.
Morninglord looking for a guillotine here but Nieves defends easily.
Nieves is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Morninglord working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nieves doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nieves manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Nieves trying to control the position from guard on top but Morninglord is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Morninglord tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Morninglord not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Morninglord had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nieves defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Morninglord is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nieves is aware though and is defending well.
Nieves engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Nieves must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Let's hope that Nieves has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nieves seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Morninglord does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Oh but Morninglord is tightening it up a little... Nieves has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Nieves reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Nieves taps out! Nice BJJ there by Morninglord!
