Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJ Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helio Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gracie stuffs the takedown.
Penn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Penn scores a takedown into full mount!
BOOM! Penn connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Penn connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Penn moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gracie has worked his arm free - good work by Gracie!
Sloppy strikes there by Penn.
Gracie tries to buck Penn off but Penn is having none of it.
Penn is chipping away with strikes.
Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Penn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Penn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well.
Gracie manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Penn misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Penn tries to kick Gracie off but Gracie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Penn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Penn is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!

Gracie has hold of Penn's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Penn manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Penn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Penn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Penn is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Gracie looking to secure an arm triangle but Penn defends it well.
Penn is looking to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn tries to buck Gracie off but he can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gracie is trying to take his opponent's back.
Gracie blocks Penn's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Penn swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Penn tries to buck Gracie off but he can't manage it.
Penn tries to reverse the position but Gracie maintains control.
Penn is breathing heavily.

Gracie working for a submission but Penn is keeping him at bay.
Penn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Penn throwing hammer fists to the chest of Gracie. What's that going to do exactly?
Penn wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Gracie working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Penn turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gracie off and cradles Penn's limp body as Gracie celebrates with his corner.
