Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angelica Nugulagamba (ranked 4561 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Stark (ranked 5123 p4p, 0 weight class). Nugulagamba comes to the cage accompanied by Bartolito. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark moves away from the strike by Nugulagamba.

Nugulagamba fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stark sprawls well initially but Nugulagamba persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Nugulagamba has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Nugulagamba seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stark does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Nugulagamba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stark with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Stark is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nugulagamba pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nugulagamba scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Nugulagamba tries to pass to full mount but Stark defends it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nugulagamba lands a nice short elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nugulagamba is looking for a kimura but Stark is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nugulagamba to get the leverage.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nugulagamba connects with a nice short shot to Stark's temple.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stark can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nugulagamba lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Stark tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Nugulagamba scoring with punches and elbows.
Stark takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Stark is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Nugulagamba wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stark keeps working.
Nugulagamba looks up at the clock and then as Stark takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nugulagamba smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nugulagamba is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stark is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Stark is not content to let Nugulagamba control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nugulagamba is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stark has escaped the position, nice work there.

Nugulagamba looks up at the clock and then as Stark takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nugulagamba smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nugulagamba throws a jab but it's blocked by Stark.

Stark gets a takedown into half guard.
Nugulagamba is trying to maintain the position but Stark is very close to passing his half guard.
Nugulagamba is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Stark looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Nugulagamba is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stark's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stark's back!

Nugulagamba is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Stark is tapping out! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Angelica Nugulagamba rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
