Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tor Troeng (ranked 1832 p4p, 267 weight class) and Shen Kuei (ranked 3638 p4p, 448 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Kuei throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Troeng throws a shot from downtown. Kuei moves away and avoids it.
Kuei swings away with a body shot that misses
and Troeng counters with a nice uppercut.
Troeng takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Troeng misses with an uppercut.
Troeng sets himself, and Kuei steps forward looking for the clinch! Troeng avoids it this time.
Troeng moves out of range of the body kick from Kuei.
Kuei looks to land a left hand but Troeng moved out of range nicely.
Troeng has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kuei.

and Troeng counters with a lovely straight right hand!

A swing and a miss from Kuei.
Troeng looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A slow jab from Kuei misses its intended target.
Kuei misses with an uppercut. Troeng saw that one coming.
Troeng takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Donk. Troeng catches Kuei right on the button with a cross.
Troeng takes a swing at Kuei's ribcage but misses.
Kuei tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Troeng manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kuei on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kuei misses the shot to the body.
Troeng avoids the head kick by Kuei.
Troeng throws a hook but Kuei avoids it easily.
Shen Kuei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuei lands with a good body shot.
Kuei closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Troeng counter with a right hand.

and Troeng cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Troeng just misses with a punch to the body.
Kuei throws a nice inside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kuei looks to land a left hand but Troeng moved out of range nicely.
Troeng is looking to counter punch.
Kuei throws a poor cross that misses
and Troeng counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kuei throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Troeng sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Troeng throws a good cross that connects.

Kuei is rocked!
Kuei walks straight into a right hand from Troeng - that's dropped him! Troeng jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kuei from any more punishment! Kuei complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
