Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sampson Litten (ranked 5465 p4p, 401 weight class) and Feleti Newalu (ranked 5484 p4p, 402 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litten moves in looking to clinch but Newalu pushes him off.

Newalu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Newalu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Newalu is trying to get an arm triangle but Litten is defending well.

Newalu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Newalu tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Litten on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Litten tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Newalu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Newalu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Litten sneaks back into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Newalu seems to be working for a kimura but Litten defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Newalu is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Litten has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Newalu is working away from the top position though.

Litten has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Newalu to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Litten is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Newalu pulls down on the head and he's put Litten to sleep! This one is all over!
