Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chrys Kyle (ranked 1203 p4p, 149 weight class) and Jerome Alviso (ranked 3972 p4p, 390 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Alviso's choice of entrance music: Pooh Man-Oakland. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyle moves out of range as Alviso throws a body kick.

Alviso tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kyle smiles and moves away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Alviso has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Alviso is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kyle can't fight it off and eventually Alviso manages to take the fight to the floor. Kyle looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
