Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Worthy (ranked 24944 p4p, 669 weight class) and Gomez Addams (ranked 6044 p4p, 597 weight class). Addams has chosen Family Vales as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worthy doesn't manage to clinch there - Addams circles away.
Addams throws a fast counter high kick but Worthy manages to duck under it in time.

Addams decides to pull guard.

Addams is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Worthy defends well.
Worthy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Worthy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Addams is pulling down on Worthy's head to control his posture.
Worthy trying to control but Addams is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Worthy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Addams on the ground.

Addams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Addams is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Worthy has managed to free his arm - good work.
Worthy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Addams's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Addams's back!

Worthy tries to get the hooks in deep but Addams pushed the leg off.
Worthy is trying to stick to Addams's back but Addams is turning into Worthy. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Worthy's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Addams.

Addams has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Worthy is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Addams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Worthy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Addams escapes and throws Worthy's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Worthy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Addams wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Addams is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Worthy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Addams decides to stand up, so the ref orders Worthy to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Worthy is looking to clinch.
Addams fails with the takedown.

Worthy takes a little break here. Addams wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Worthy working the strikes but Addams uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Addams holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Worthy prevents Addams from improving his position.
Addams makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Addams.
Addams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Worthy's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Addams is looking to stand up but Worthy won't let him.
Worthy wants to hit a switch here but Addams passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Worthy there!
Addams tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Worthy tries to hold on but Addams postures up.
Addams has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Addams controlling his opponent.

Addams throws some wild stikes that Worthy manages to avoid easily.
Worthy is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Addams misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Addams looking for a guillotine from mount but Worthy is having none of it.
Worthy is desperately trying to improve his position but Addams has a good base and remains in mount.
Addams takes Worthy's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Worthy is in trouble.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Addams's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Addams somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Addams is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Worthy has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Addams has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Worthy taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Addams doesn't care though - he's delighted!
