Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artur Gutu (ranked 2808 p4p, 353 weight class) and Krzistov Wojcik (ranked 3512 p4p, 419 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutu throws an overhand right that lands on Wojcik's shoulder, as Wojcik tries to avoid the shot.
Gutu throws a body punch but Wojcik moves out of range.
Wojcik changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Gutu has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gutu lunges at Wojcik with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wojcik's hand.
Gutu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wojcik.

Wojcik shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gutu napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wojcik tries to advance to mount but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wojcik's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gutu is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Gutu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gutu tries to get out of the position.
Wojcik just content to control the position.
Gutu manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Wojcik is pressing down on Gutu's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gutu is looking to stand up but Wojcik isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A big right from Gutu misses.
Wojcik throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gutu's waist but Gutu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wojcik off to one side.

Wojcik doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've been informed that Wojcik has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Wojcik misses with a takedown attempt - Gutu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Artur Gutu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wojcik tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gutu defends well and Wojcik ends up having to push Gutu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Artur Gutu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krzistov Wojcik.

Gutu struggles to land a body shot inside as Wojcik controls his hands.
Wojcik tries to pull guard but Gutu holds him up against the cage and eventually Wojcik drops back down to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gutu lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Krzistov Wojcik has been cut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gutu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gutu lands with an overhand left.
Gutu connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Wojcik is rocked!
Wojcik leaves his chin hanging out and Gutu seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Wojcik crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

After winning the bout, Artur Gutu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
