The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a lazy head kick
and Hurst counters with a nice uppercut.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Hurst moves out of range easily.
Jones gets a double leg takedown into Hurst's guard.
Jones throws a big elbow that misses.
Jones trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Hurst manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Hurst is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jones has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hurst is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jones.
