Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kaiji Inoue (ranked 6162 p4p, 0 weight class) and BodyShot Scott (ranked 6755 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kaiji Inoue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, BodyShot Scott!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inoue waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Scott.
Scott works over Inoue's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Kaiji Inoue has been cut.
Inoue tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Scott pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Inoue back to the cage. Scott follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Scott is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Inoue slips a jab and a cross from Scott.
Scott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A jab from Scott does it's job there.
Scott misses with a jab, cross combination.
Inoue drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott misses with a double jab.
It looked like Inoue wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Scott moves into range and clinches up with Inoue.

Scott breaks the clinch.
A punch combination from Inoue misses.
Sloppy strikes from Scott. Those never looked like landing.
Scott paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Scott swats away the attempt to clinch by Inoue.
A head kick from Inoue lands but Scott takes it in his stride.
Scott throws a right and a left that Inoue avoids nicely.
Inoue loads up on a big right hand but Scott slips the punch.
Inoue throws a sloppy head kick and Scott moves out of range easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Inoue eats them both and turns towards Scott to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Scott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Scott misses with a double jab.
Inoue uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Scott has time to react.
Inoue with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Inoue lands a head kick!
Inoue lands a nice leg kick that just misses Scott's sensitive parts.
Inoue looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Inoue throws a head kick that Scott semi-blocks.
Inoue connects with a looping right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Inoue fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Scott.

Inoue gets tackled into the cage by Scott. Scott maintains the clinch.

Scott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Inoue swings widly with a right hand
and Scott counters with a left and a right that stings Inoue.
Inoue swings for the body but Scott moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Inoue.
Inoue feints and then cracks Scott's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scott down.
Inoue turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Scott throws a right and a left that Inoue avoids nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scott throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Inoue.
Scott gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Inoue.

Scott pushes Inoue up against the cage in a clinch.
Inoue tries to throw a body punch but Scott avoids it by throwing Inoue back against the cage.
Scott tries to break free but Inoue pushes him back against the cage.
Scott avoids the elbow strike from Inoue, against the cage.
Scott is looking to break free of the clinch but Inoue has double underhooks.
Inoue gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Scott dodges an elbow strike from Inoue.
Inoue pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Inoue creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Inoue throws a head punch that misses.
Scott blocks an elbow strike from Inoue.
Inoue creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Scott's defenses.
Scott blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Scott is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Inoue misses with an elbow over the top.
Inoue throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Inoue is looking to control Scott's arms but Scott gets an underhook and turns him. Now Inoue has his back to the cage.
Inoue is trying to maintain a safe position but Scott gets an underhook and turns Inoue into the cage.
Scott blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Inoue just misses with a elbow thrown towards Scott's brow.
Scott blocks an elbow strike.
Inoue lands an elbow that stopped Scott in his tracks for a moment.

Scott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Scott throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Inoue stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Inoue is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That kick from Inoue tenderised Scott's leg. Scott is trying to keep his angry face on.
Inoue dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Scott. That did some damage!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Inoue tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Inoue misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Scott takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Inoue has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Scott drives through and clinches with Inoue against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scott is trying to break the clinch but Inoue is controlling him.
Inoue gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
A frustrated look appears on Scott's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Scott avoids the elbow strike from Inoue, against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Inoue lands a damaging elbow.


Scott is rocked!
A nice glancing elbow lands by Inoue.
Scott is still on wobbly legs! Can Inoue finish him?
Nice elbow from Inoue.
Inoue has Scott pressed against the cage. He pushes Scott back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Inoue throws a beautiful elbow that sends Scott crashing to the floor! Inoue piles on the pressure with more strikes! Scott is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaiji Inoue!
