The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Vaughn gets caught flat footed, as Silva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Vaughn scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Vaughn tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vaughn misses the shot to the body.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vaughn swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Vaughn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Vaughn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva is trying to stand up here but Vaughn is controlling him well.
Silva has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Vaughn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
