The crowd seem to be enjoying Mixler's choice of entrance music: MAD MAN. Reggie Roberson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mixler stalks Roberson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Roberson's face. Roberson staggers backwards, shaken.
Mixler tries to clinch but Roberson is having none of it.

and Roberson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Roberson.
Mixler wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Roberson manages to pass to side control.
Roberson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roberson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Mixler wants to get back to his feet.

Roberson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mixler sees it coming and defends easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Roberson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Roberson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Roberson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mixler defend it? Roberson steps over the head and cranks it - Mixler is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Roberson!
