The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aurelius blocks a head kick by Measles.
Aurelius tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Measles tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Measles misses with a body kick.
Measles finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Measles throws a leg kick that is checked
and Aurelius counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Wyatt Measles has been cut.
Measles looks to land a body kick but Aurelius moved away.
Aurelius looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Measles lands with a thumping leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Measles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wyatt Measles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Measles throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Aurelius fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Measles, pushing him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aurelius lands a hook to the side of the head.

Aurelius wants the takedown. Measles is fighting it off but Aurelius persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Measles's guard against the cage.

Aurelius works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Aurelius has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Measles is trying to escape the mount but Aurelius keeps good control and instead manages to take Measles's back.

Aurelius is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Measles with him. Measles is trying to defend but Aurelius has an arm under the chin now! Measles grimaces and is forced to tap out!
