Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Gonzalez (ranked 746 p4p, 99 weight class) and Cormac Mac Airt (ranked 938 p4p, 125 weight class). Mac Airt comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wolf Blood kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mac Airt.
Mac Airt uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gonzalez.
Mac Airt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mac Airt walks into a stiff left hand from Gonzalez.
It looks like Cormac Mac Airt has been cut.
Mac Airt throws a combination that misses
and Gonzalez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gonzalez on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Mac Airt looks to land a left hand but Gonzalez moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Mac Airt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Mac Airt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gonzalez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Mac Airt lands with a straight right. Gonzalez didn't see that one coming.
Mac Airt moves into range and connects with a jab.
Gonzalez throws a sloppy head kick
enabling Mac Airt to counter with a crisp jab.
Nice straight punches there by Mac Airt. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mac Airt.

Mac Airt misses with a body shot.
Gonzalez misses with an uppercut. Mac Airt saw that one coming.

A chopping leg kick lands by Gonzalez.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gonzalez gets in close and tags Mac Airt with a short punch that almost sends Mac Airt to the mat! Oh Mac Airt is in big trouble! He turns his back on Gonzalez, trying to create some distance but Gonzalez rushes him, striking wildly and Mac Airt goes down! The referee tackles Gonzalez into the cage to end the fight! Gonzalez is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Gonzalez!
After the fight, Anthony Gonzalez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Cormac Mac Airt stepped up to the mic, saying '"When I am gone I charge you that ye bury me not at Brugh of the Boyne where is the royal cemetery of the Kings of Erinn.
