Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randell Nicholson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Thomas!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nicholson rushes Thomas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Thomas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nicholson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Nicholson wants to break free but Thomas has control.
Thomas displaying some good clinch control by pressing Nicholson up against the cage.
Thomas avoiding damage.
Thomas receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Thomas tries to score a body lock takedown but Nicholson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Thomas is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nicholson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Randell Nicholson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Thomas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nicholson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Thomas avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Nicholson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Thomas sprawls and moves away.

Nicholson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Thomas can do to turn this around?

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Randell Nicholson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nicholson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
