Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between EJ Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Chaves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marco Chaves!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Junior is desperately trying to improve his position but Chaves has a good base and remains in mount.
Junior is squirming around, avoiding Chaves's attempts to control the action.
Junior tries to reverse the position but Chaves maintains control.
Chaves trying to control but Junior is having none of it.
Junior working to try and regain half guard.
Chaves trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Junior is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Junior sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Junior is trying to get back to full guard.
Junior slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Junior looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Junior looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Junior looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chaves is one step ahead there.
Chaves wants to pass the guard but Junior is keeping the position.
Junior keeping moving, preventing Chaves from controlling successfully.
Junior is looking for a triangle here but Chaves uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Junior looks to move to half guard but instead Chaves has passed into mount! Damn!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chaves sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Chaves is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Junior can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Chaves prevents Junior from getting the reversal.
Junior is breathing heavily.
Junior sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Chaves is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Chaves is keen to just control but Junior is a slippery customer.

Junior works his way to full guard. Good work.

Junior escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chaves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Chaves trying to control but Junior is working from the bottom.
Junior pushes a forearm under Chaves's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Chaves is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
