The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marlon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mcmillan is trying to control the position but Marlon postures up.
Marlon is fighting to break Mcmillan's control of his arms but Mcmillan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Marlon content to stall in guard here.

Marlon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Marlon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marlon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mcmillan has his feet on Marlon's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Mcmillan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Marlon is trying to defend but Mcmillan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
