Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Fennessy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklin Orellana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fennessy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Drowning Pool - Bodies. Orellana has chosen Black Betty as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Franklin Orellana has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Franklin Orellana!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fennessy has managed to clinch.

Fennessy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Orellana finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Fennessy punishes Orellana's body with a nice straight punch.
Orellana throws out a leg kick but Fennessy moves out of range and Orellana only half commits.
Orellana looks to clinch
and Fennessy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Orellana looks gassed!

Fennessy has closed the distance and engaged Orellana in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Orellana tries to keep at a distance but Fennessy has taken the fight into the clinch.

Franklin Orellana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fennessy checks a leg kick.

Fennessy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Orellana looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fennessy has closed the distance and engaged Orellana in a clinch.

Fennessy manages to break the clinch.
Fennessy steps into range and cracks Orellana with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Orellana flops backwards and Fennessy dives into his guard looking to finish!

Orellana is rocked!
Fennessy content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Orellana is still in real trouble! Can Fennessy finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fennessy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Orellana's head.

Orellana is working an open guard so Fennessy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Fennessy takes the fight into the clinch.
Orellana seems to have recovered his senses.

Fennessy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fennessy changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Fennessy moves into the clinch.

Fennessy is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Orellana can't fight it off and eventually Fennessy manages to take the fight to the floor. Orellana looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fennessy stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Fennessy fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fennessy slips under a jab from Orellana.
Fennessy clobbers Orellana with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Fennessy feints and as Orellana raises his hands in defense, Fennessy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fennessy postures up and lands a big shot to Orellana's brow.

Fennessy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Orellana doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Orellana has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Fennessy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Fennessy avoids the head kick by Orellana.

Fennessy lands with a thumping leg kick.
Fennessy lands a head kick. Orellana smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Fennessy instigates a clinch.
Orellana swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fennessy scores with a shot to the side of Orellana's head.
Fennessy is looking to control Orellana's arms but Orellana gets an underhook and turns him. Now Fennessy has his back to the cage.

Fennessy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fennessy throws a one two combo.
Fennessy lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Orellana can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Fennessy and Orellana drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Fennessy.
