Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ibe Kong!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andre Romano!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romano throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kong's waist but Kong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Romano off to one side.
Kong fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kong drops Romano with a right and a left! Kong comes rushing in but Romano regains his composure and manages to keep Kong in guard.

Kong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Romano is just riding it out for now. Kong eventually gives up the hold.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Romano goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kong has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Romano but great work by Kong.

Romano has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kong is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Romano yanks on the arm and Kong is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Romano.
