The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robles closes the distance and clinches.
Demmick looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Demmick has had enough of the clinch but Robles keeps him there for the moment.
Demmick is trying to push Robles away but Robles has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Robles gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Demmick regains guard.

Robles has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

The fight stays on the outside here - Robles looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Demmick does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Robles jumps guard and drags Demmick to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Robles is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
