The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza throws a combination that misses

and Blixt counters by moving into the clinch.
Blixt scores with a hook to the body.
A short body shot lands from Blixt as the two fighters clinch.

Blixt lands a hook that snaps the head of Souza backwards.
Blixt gets through Souza's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Blixt makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blixt connects with a nasty looking knee right to Souza's face.
Blixt makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Blixt creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Souza tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blixt smiles and moves away.
Gilberto Da Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Souza is rocked!
Blixt finds Souza's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Souza flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Blixt lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Souza will be OK.
