The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner clinches up with Duplant and pushes him back against the cage.
Duplant is trying to trip Tanner. He has hold of a leg but Tanner is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Duplant persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Duplant sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tanner's guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Duplant in particular looking to stall.
Duplant is looking to advance position but Tanner won't allow it.
Duplant seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Duplant maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Tanner could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Duplant has cracked it and Tanner is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Duplant!
