Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zhuan Tai (ranked 5017 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Tonni (ranked 5332 p4p, 0 weight class). Prince Tonni told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Prince Tonni!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tai shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Tonni is looking to get back to is feet but Tai passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tonni tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tonni wants to control but Tai postures up.
Tonni looks to move to half guard but instead Tai has passed into mount! Damn!
Tonni is looking to get to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tai controlling the pace for now.
Tai looking to secure an arm triangle but Tonni defends it well.

Tai misses with a head shot.
Tonni keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tai working for a guillotine from mount but Tonni is in no mood to give up.
Tonni looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Tonni tries to control Tai's body but Tai pushes him off. Tonni squirms to his side and now Tai has his back!

Tonni is trying to get back to his feet but Tai has full control of the position and if anything, Tonni has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Tonni really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tai. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tai is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tai avoiding Tonni 's attempts to control his hands.
Tai slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Tai seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tonni for as long as he can get away with.

Zhuan Tai dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tonni pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tai back to the cage. Tonni follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Zhuan Tai has been cut.
Tai shoots in and drives through. Tonni sprawls well.
Tonni lands a right hook to the body.
Tonni clobbers Tai with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Tai takes one to the chin there.
Tonni lands a slapping body shot.
Zhuan Tai is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tai dodges the punch combination from Tonni.
A jab lands there for Tonni.

Tonni cracks Tai with a right hand to the side of the head.
Tonni throws a combination. Tai tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Tai takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tonni.

Tonni looks to land a combination but Tai avoids it well.
Tonni stuns Tai with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tonni darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tai takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tonni manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tai takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Tonni jabs at Tai's body.
Tonni throws a series of strikes that have Tai backpedaling.
Tai displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tonni.
Tonni is looking to score with low kicks.
Tai closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tai lands in his opponent's guard.

Zhuan Tai overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tonni is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tai postures up in Tonni's guard and throws a big left but Tonni blocks it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Tonni tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tai was well out of range. Poor timing from Tonni.
Tonni misses with a two punch combination.
Tai darts in looking for a takedown but Tonni gets double underhooks and turns Tai into the cage.
Tonni has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Tai on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Prince Tonni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tonni leaves Tai with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A nice side step and Tonni releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Tai drops his hands momentarily and Tonni takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Tonni stalks Tai and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tai's face. Tai staggers backwards, shaken.
Tonni walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tai checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Tai shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Prince Tonni showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Zhuan Tai's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Tonni lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Tai takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tai moves to clinch but Tonni breaks away
and Tonni counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Tonni is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tai rather than just go for the knockout.
Tonni's corner calls for a 1-2. Tonni obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Tai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tonni tries to avoid it but Tai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tonni to the ground. Tonni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tonni finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Tai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tonni circles away quickly and effectively.
Tai takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Tai tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tonni sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tai somewhat.
Tai has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tonni finds it's way round the side to connect with Tai's head.

Tai shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tonni napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Tonni is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tai asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Tai wants to control but Tonni is keeping him busy.
Tonni tries to buck Tai off but Tai is having none of it.

Tai is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Prince Tonni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tonni has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
