Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Rahardian (ranked 3529 p4p, 385 weight class) and Ed Erickson (ranked 24979 p4p, 0 weight class). Mohammed Rahardian could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ed Erickson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rahardian misses with a takedown attempt - Erickson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ed Erickson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rahardian has closed the distance and engaged Erickson in a clinch.
Erickson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Rahardian tries to break the clinch but Erickson is controlling the position.

Erickson breaks the clinch.
Erickson lands a head kick. Rahardian smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Mohammed Rahardian has been cut.
Erickson shoots for a takedown but Rahardian saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rahardian is on top in guard.

Erickson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rahardian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Erickson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rahardian has picked Erickson up and slammed him! Erickson can't keep hold of the triangle and Rahardian manages to pass to side control!

Erickson is squirming around, avoiding Rahardian's attempts to control the action.

Rahardian is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Erickson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Erickson shrugs it off.

Rahardian is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Erickson is surviving well by controlling Rahardian's body position as best he can.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rahardian postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Erickson looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rahardian get's back to his feet.
Erickson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Erickson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Erickson scores with a head kick. Rahardian tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Erickson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rahardian throws a head kick but Erickson moves out of range.
Erickson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Rahardian takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Erickson shoots in but Rahardian avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rahardian seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Rahardian misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Erickson drives through and clinches with Rahardian against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rahardian tries to break free but Erickson pushes him back against the cage.
Erickson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rahardian is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Erickson breaks the clinch.

Erickson is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Erickson throws a knee to the head but misses.

Rahardian has picked Erickson up - he's going for a ride! Rahardian dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Erickson misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Erickson fails to land the takedown.
Rahardian went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Erickson lands with a kick to the temple. Rahardian shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Rahardian is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Erickson can do to turn this around?

Rahardian gets tackled into the cage by Erickson. Erickson maintains the clinch.

Rahardian drags the fight down to the ground.
Rahardian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Erickson manages to get himself to full guard.

Rahardian throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Erickson was covering up waiting for the punch and Rahardian finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Erickson wants to sweep here but Rahardian controlling him for the moment.

Rahardian gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Horrible takedown attempt by Rahardian or perhaps it was just good defense by Erickson, which made it look bad.
Danga de danga de dang - Erickson scores with a four punch combination!
Rahardian shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Erickson but Erickson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rahardian closes the distance and clinches up with Erickson, looking for a takedown. Rahardian pushes Erickson against the cage but Erickson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Erickson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rahardian seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Erickson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rahardian has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Erickson has managed to get both his arms back between Rahardian's legs - danger averted.

Rahardian is looking to stand up but Erickson isn't so interested in that idea.

Erickson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rahardian to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Erickson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rahardian pulls down on the head and he's put Erickson to sleep! This one is all over!
