PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Khon Saroth (ranked 7581 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Larraza (ranked 5268 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larraza looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Saroth is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Larraza dives into side control.

Larraza decides to stand back up. Larraza steps back and let's Saroth get back to his feet.
Saroth changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Larraza tries to avoid it but Saroth manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Larraza to the ground. Larraza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Larraza lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Saroth shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Larraza pinned against the cage. Larraza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Saroth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khon Saroth. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Saroth closes the distance looking to clinch

so Larraza counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Larraza is standing up over Saroth. Saroth looks to escape but Larraza dives into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Larraza happy to just control the position for now.

Saroth is wriggling around trying to escape but Larraza has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Saroth taps out and Larraza picks up the big win! Great work there by Larraza!
