Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Jose Rizal (ranked 5960 p4p, 484 weight class) and Tim Davis (ranked 5822 p4p, 474 weight class). Rizal comes to the ring accompanied by Noypi by Bamboo. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Rizal!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tim Davis!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis misses with a hook.
Davis sizes up Rizal with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Davis misses the jab.
Rizal has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Davis finds it's way round the side to connect with Rizal's head.
A telegraphed right hand from Davis misses the target.
Rizal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Davis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rizal backing away here, and Davis unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Rizal keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Davis.
Rizal lands a nice hook to Davis's body. Davis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Davis throws an overhand right that lands on Rizal's shoulder, as Rizal tries to avoid the shot.
A counter left hand to the body from Rizal misses its target.
Rizal definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Rizal looks to throw the jab but Davis is out of range.
Davis tries to move into range but Rizal moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Davis throws the kick towards the body but Rizal avoids it.
Davis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Davis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rizal throws out the jab.
Davis scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Davis gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rizal.
Rizal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davis.
Davis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rizal is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Davis.
Rizal throws a lazy uppercut
and Davis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rizal thinking.
Rizal swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rizal lands with a cross.
Rizal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Davis.
Rizal takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
An inside leg kick lands from Davis.
A slow jab from Rizal misses its intended target.
Davis getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davis cracks a nice hook into Rizal's ribs.
Rizal misses with a hook
and Davis counters with a nice uppercut.
Davis lands with a shot to the body.

Davis jabs Rizal to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rizal loads up on a big right hand but Davis slips the punch.
Rizal is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Rizal throws a shot from downtown. Davis moves away and avoids it.
Rizal ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davis moves away.
Rizal checks a leg kick.
Rizal is looking to counter punch.
Rizal avoids a kick to the body.
Rizal throwing a counter right hand but Davis manages to avoid it.
Rizal avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rizal misses with a looping right.
Davis lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Rizal throws a body shot but no joy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Davis! But no joy.

Rizal takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Davis misses with an uppercut. Rizal saw that one coming.
It looked like Rizal wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Davis looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rizal is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Davis.
Rizal throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Davis misses with a hook.
Davis does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Rizal thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rizal throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Davis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Davis jabs Rizal to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Davis lands a nice shot that snaps Rizal's head back.
Davis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Davis misses with a hook to the body
and Rizal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Tim Davis has been cut.
Davis scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rizal doesn't seem bothered though.
Davis throws a lazy right hand but Rizal sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rizal throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Davis on the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Davis throws a body shot but no joy.
Davis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rizal had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Rizal stuns Davis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rizal takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Davis walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Davis is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jose Rizal!

A very excited looking Jose Rizal made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
