PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lawrence (ranked 558 p4p, 74 weight class) and Ren Askcrew (ranked 771 p4p, 103 weight class). Lawrence's entrance music is Sweep the Leg. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Askcrew drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lawrence manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Askcrew has Lawrence in his guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Askcrew is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Askcrew gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Askcrew crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lawrence - the referee stops the clock and Askcrew gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lawrence. Askcrew manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lawrence lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
