The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mon as he avoids it easily.
Mon changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bartley can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mon is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bartley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bartley shrugs it off.

Mon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bartley is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bartley and Mon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Bartley tries to improve his position but Mon has taken his back! Mon has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Bartley tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Mon pushes Bartley away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
