Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Joey Diaz (ranked 3205 p4p, 391 weight class) and Ronald Fredrick (ranked 2644 p4p, 335 weight class). Fredrick has chosen Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Throw It Up as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fredrick takes the fight into the clinch.
I was talking to Diaz's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Diaz manages to break the clinch.
Fredrick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fredrick throws a head kick that misses.
Diaz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Diaz cracks the inside of Fredrick's front leg.
Fredrick takes a kick to the side of the head.
Fredrick walks into a stiff left hand from Diaz.
Fredrick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Fredrick.

Fredrick scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Diaz to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
Diaz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fredrick has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Diaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Fredrick tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it.

Fredrick scores with a big combo that sends Diaz crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Diaz flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! Fredrick jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.
