Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Riot misses
and Terblanche counters with a two punch combo.
Terblanche throws a body punch but Riot moves out of range.
Terblanche pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
No joy there for Terblanche, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Riot shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Terblanche is doing well to control the position and prevent Riot from advancing to side control.
Riot wants to advance to full mount but Terblanche doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Terblanche lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Riot is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Riot looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Terblanche slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Riot looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Riot throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Terblanche avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Riot looking to hit a scissor sweep but Terblanche is one step ahead there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Terblanche slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Riot is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Terblanche is aware though and is defending well.
Terblanche sitting in guard here, content to control.
Let's hope that Terblanche has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Riot escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Terblanche gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Terblanche stays in close to Riot's body and controls the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Riot is on top in guard.
Terblanche keeping moving, preventing Riot from controlling successfully.
Terblanche working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riot doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riot manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Terblanche looking for a sweep. Not yet Terblanche, not yet.

Riot has gone for a leg lock! Terblanche slips out almost immediately though and dives into Riot's guard.
Terblanche showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Riot looking for a triangle here. Terblanche is fighting it but it looks tight! Riot pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Terblanche is tapping out - this one is all over!

After winning the bout, Tony Riot thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
