Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alphonzo Mirage (ranked 54 p4p, 8 weight class) and Sendou Kitano (ranked 265 p4p, 29 weight class). Kitano has chosen Hokuto No Ken - You wa Shock as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alphonzo Mirage!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Sendou Kitano!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Mirage 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Kitano has Mirage up against the cage in a clinch.
Mirage goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A right handed body shot lands from Mirage.
Mirage scores with a shot to the side of Kitano's head.

Mirage's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kitano pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mirage scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Sendou Kitano has been cut.
Mirage misses with a hook.
Kitano doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kitano throws a series of punches but Mirage avoids them all with ease.
Kitano fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mirage.

Mirage feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kitano sprawling to the canvas! Kitano rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mirage finish him?!

Kitano is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mirage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kitano is still on wobbly legs! Can Mirage finish him?
Kitano feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mirage's calf.
Mirage lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kitano up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Mirage from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kitano's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alphonzo Mirage!
