Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Truck Boogard (ranked 4379 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Brett (ranked 3269 p4p, 0 weight class). Truck Boogard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Brett - just one landing.
Brett tries a head kick but it misses.

Boogard shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boogard showed some decent athleticism there.
Brett is looking for a sweep. Boogard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Boogard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brett is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brett looks to score with a jab to the body but Boogard is just out of range.

Despite the aggression on Brett's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Boogard throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Brett throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Boogard on the side of the head.

Brett bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Boogard's head backwards.

Boogard fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brett has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boogard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
