Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nils Kolzig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marvin Hearns!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Hearns. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hearns.
Kolzig uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hearns.
Hearns lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kolzig circles away quickly and effectively.
Hearns throws a left that rocks Kolzig and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Hearns dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Kolzig regain composure!


It looks like Nils Kolzig has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hearns wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kolzig keeps working.
Kolzig tries to bench press Hearns off him but Hearns keeps the position.
Kolzig gets back to half guard.

Hearns wants to work for an arm triangle but Kolzig is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kolzig slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kolzig is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Hearns pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kolzig is keeping the position for now.
Kolzig is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hearns trying to control the position from guard on top but Kolzig is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kolzig has his foot on Hearns's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hearns works his way back into a safe position though.

Kolzig had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hearns is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kolzig Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hearns's back instead.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kolzig is not going to allow Hearns to sit and survive in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hearns covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Hearns is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Hearns tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Kolzig looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Hearns is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kolzig throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Kolzig is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hearns is surviving well by controlling Kolzig's body position as best he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kolzig avoids the attempt from Hearns to control.
Hearns regains half guard.
Hearns is trying to maintain the position but Kolzig is very close to passing his half guard.
Kolzig has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kolzig prevents Hearns from getting the reversal.
Kolzig fails to take his opponent's back.
Hearns wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kolzig.
Kolzig looking to control and managing it successfully.

Hearns looks to land a left hand but Kolzig moved out of range nicely.

Hearns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kolzig manages to avoid it.
Hearns scores with a jab. Kolzig acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Hearns throws a nice looking combination but Kolzig bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hearns has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kolzig is working away from the top position though.

Hearns takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Marvin Hearns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Hearns looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hearns misses with a straight left.
Nice uppercut lands for Hearns. That snapped Kolzig's head back.
Hearns swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kolzig.
Hearns throws a shot from downtown. Kolzig moves away and avoids it.
Kolzig walks into a jab.
Hearns lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hearns swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hearns lands with a hook. Kolzig tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kolzig shoots in looking for a takedown. Hearns tries to sprawl out of it but Kolzig keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hearns manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hearns scores with a jab to the jaw.
Hearns takes a swing at Kolzig's ribcage but misses.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hearns misses with a hook. Kolzig ducked under it nicely.
Hearns connects with the punch.
Hearns lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Kolzig falls backwards - clearly groggy! Hearns dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marvin Hearns!
