Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort lands with a nice body punch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belfort tries to get to full guard but Christ has control of the leg.

Belfort is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Christ is controlling him well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Belfort is looking to improve his position but Christ isn't that keen on the idea.

Poor strikes thrown by Christ there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Christ misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Belfort cracks Christ with a right hand to the side of the head.
Belfort fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Christ.

Christ tries for a takedown but Belfort sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Belfort scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Belfort gets caught flat footed, as Christ shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Christ postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Donk. Belfort catches Christ right on the button with a cross.
Belfort cracks the inside of Christ's front leg.
Christ takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jesus Christ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christ shoots for a takedown but Belfort saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Belfort lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Belfort scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Christ doesn't seem bothered though.
Christ shoots for a double leg takedown but Belfort sprawls well. He's pushed Christ's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Christ walks into a stiff left hand from Belfort.
Christ misses with a takedown attempt - Belfort sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Belfort cracks Christ with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Christ changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Belfort tries to avoid it but Christ manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Belfort to the ground. Belfort escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Belfort looks to land a combination. Christ sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Belfort throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Crunch! Belfort slams his shin into Christ's torso.
Belfort throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Christ scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee warns Belfort that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Christ has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Belfort's face.

Christ is working for a guillotine from mount but Belfort frees his head quite easily.
Christ lands a nice shot to the head.
Belfort holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Christ tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Belfort avoids a series of strikes thrown by Christ.
Belfort takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Belfort wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Christ.
Belfort is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vitor Belfort showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Belfort connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Christ momentarily.
Christ needs to keep his hands up - Belfort had a free shot at his head there.
Horrible takedown by Christ or perhaps it was just good defense by Belfort which made him look bad.
Christ on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jesus Christ is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Christ closes this distance looking for a takedown but Belfort circles away.
Christ shoots in but no luck this time.

Belfort goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Belfort keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Oh Christ is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Belfort drops Christ with a big left hand! Christ is injured, injured bad! Belfort jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
