Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Dupuis (ranked 21617 p4p, 154 weight class) and Chad Yonic (ranked 4845 p4p, 103 weight class). Dupuis's entrance music is Out for a Rip by Brendan Richmond. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupuis is looking to clinch but Yonic is avoiding it.
Yonic on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Chad Yonic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yonic connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Yonic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dupuis.
Dupuis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Yonic.

Yonic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Yonic lands in his opponent's guard.
Yonic postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Dupuis wants to stand but Yonic is controlling the position.
Dupuis wants to sweep here but Yonic controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dupuis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yonic controls the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dupuis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yonic defends it easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Yonic's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Dupuis wants to sweep but no luck.
Dupuis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Yonic postures up.
Yonic advances to half guard.

Yonic wants to work for an arm triangle but Dupuis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Yonic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dupuis keeps working.
Yonic is nestled in close to Dupuis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Yonic drops an elbow to the side of Dupuis's head.
Dupuis looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dupuis is not content to let Yonic control the position.
Yonic looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dupuis is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at 3Band MMA ($800/week), so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Dupuis is trying to maintain the position but Yonic is very close to passing his half guard.

Yonic looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dupuis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Yonic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dupuis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Dupuis wants to control but Yonic is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Yonic winds up and cracks Dupuis with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Yonic is looking to take a break and control but Dupuis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yonic lands with a punch from half guard.
Dupuis is looking to escape.

Yonic is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Oh Dupuis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Yonic perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Yonic lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Dupuis quite badly. Dupuis pulls Yonic in close trying to recover. Yonic postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Dupuis on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Dupuis doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
