Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy NoMates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Filho has chosen You can hate me now as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filho tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but NoMates swivels and escapes.
NoMates is looking to clinch but Filho is avoiding it.
NoMates just misses with a punch to the body.
NoMates circles away from the clinch attempt
and NoMates makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Filho moves in looking to clinch but NoMates pushes him off.
Filho tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but NoMates paws at him with a jab and circles away.
NoMates throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Filho closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Filho lands in his opponent's guard.
Filho wants to pass the guard but NoMates is keeping the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
NoMates preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Donk. NoMates catches Filho right on the button with a cross.

and Filho counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Filho is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from NoMates as he works his way to full guard.

Filho drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Filho jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
NoMates is breathing heavily.
Filho wants to pass the guard but NoMates is keeping the position.
Filho is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Filho pushes down on NoMates's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Filho looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Filho is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
NoMates fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
NoMates swats away the attempt to clinch by Filho.
NoMates closes the distance looking to clinch
and Filho counters with a nice double leg into side control. NoMates won't be happy with that.
Filho has an Americana. NoMates didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Filho is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Filho hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
