Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Filiberto Dickerson (ranked 24516 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Slevin (ranked 5154 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Slevin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Filiberto Dickerson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jordan Slevin!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slevin closes the distance and pushes Dickerson back into the cage.

Dickerson stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Dickerson tries to pull guard but Slevin holds him up against the cage and eventually Dickerson drops back down to his feet.

Slevin has Dickerson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Slevin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Dickerson tumbling to the mat - Slevin dives into Dickerson's guard.
Slevin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dickerson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Slevin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dickerson, up you get!

Slevin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dickerson's guard.
Slevin pushes down on Dickerson's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Slevin is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Dickerson manages to get to full guard.

Dickerson regains half guard, as Slevin was trying to land strikes.

Slevin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dickerson gets caught flat footed, as Slevin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Slevin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Slevin looking to sit in guard and control but Dickerson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dickerson seems to be working for a kimura but Slevin defends the submission attempt.

Oooooh!!! Slevin has knocked Dickerson down with a huge combo! Slevin steps away and waves a wobbly Dickerson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Filiberto Dickerson has been cut.

Dickerson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Slevin wants to improve his position but Dickerson is controlling well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Slevin manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Slevin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dickerson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Slevin is in Dickerson's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Slevin is adopting a defensive guard.
Slevin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dickerson is controlling him.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Slevin throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Jordan Slevin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Slevin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dickerson moves away.

Dickerson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dickerson is looking to control Slevin's arms but Slevin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dickerson has his back to the cage.

Dickerson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Slevin uses from the top position.
Slevin throws a strike but Dickerson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dickerson wants to control but Slevin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Slevin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dickerson defends it easily.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Slevin. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Slevin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Slevin showed some decent athleticism there.
Filiberto Dickerson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jordan Slevin is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
