Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ryan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McClaine moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ryan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

McClaine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ryan.

McClaine drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ryan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Ryan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ryan throws a lazy right hand but McClaine sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Ryan counters with a nice low kick that buckles McClaine's knee momentarily.
Connor Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John McClaine.

Nice uppercut lands for Ryan. That snapped McClaine's head back.
McClaine takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
McClaine moves away from the strike by Ryan.
Ryan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McClaine is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ryan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ryan!

McClaine closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McClaine lands in his opponent's guard.

McClaine working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

McClaine drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ryan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McClaine has Ryan in his guard.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ryan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
